Meet the Muralist

Erik Hoogen was born and raised in the Northwestern United States. His passion for art began as early as age 4, drawing elaborate pictures well before he could ever read. During his Senior Year in High School, Erik held his first art show. It completely sold out. Art had always been his life, and he knew then that it always would be.

His illustrious career has taken him through Switzerland, the Netherlands, New Zealand, Australia, The Cook Islands, and more as he did freelance art with the K2 Corporation. No matter the country, Erik discovered that art was a universal language. His projects have spanned from murals and snowboards to apparel and canvases; and he has been recognized in Art Magazines throughout the world.

From winters spent snowboarding in the Alps, to summers painting entire coffee shops in Amsterdam- he's found his greatest inspirations in Nature, Animals, and Culture. He's driven today to capture the character of the Southwest Desert in his creations: as he has masterfully done with the three murals he painted for us at Lake Powell Gateway RV Resort. We are so grateful for his otherworldly talent, and especially: for his friendship to our LPGRV Family.
